Yippee!!!!
Yeah, how exciting!
I can’t wait. Next to Heavy Metal, this is my favorite thing to read.
Oh man, awesome. I’m playing catch up and reading the last few of these I haven’t yet read.
Oh man, once again I’m super far behind in my reading (I missed out on voting over at Heavy Medal’s online mock by several titles) with only 3 out of 16 of these read. I guess I better get started, huh? Keeper here I come!
Huzzah! Just the thing to lift the spirits during a snow-bound winter.

I’m already nervous!
(But honored to be included in such company!)
Barry, hope Mirka’s off at the gym pumping iron! But don’t push her too hard — she needs sleep, three hearty kosher meals a day, and no steroids please.
The difficulty is going to land one favorite to root for. It doesn’t help that some of my favorites are up against each other.
CARDTURNER and AS EASY AS, couldn’t be better matched.
Then CONSPIRACY and COUNTDOWN – two of my favorites of favorites, and nothing like each other. Sheesh what’s a fan to do?
Another toughie will be KEEPER and HEREVILLE, Toll-fighter or meremaid-hunter? I ask you – which would you root for?
wait, are you telling me this is the bracket order!!!!!???? How did I miss that?

I’m looking forward to seeing the brackets and judges. I know C of Kings is a book 2. Are any other titles part of a series (but not book 1)?
Brain Lair,
The Brackets pages doesn’t appear to be updated yet, but if you go to the FAQ page, it tells you how the brackets are organized:
“We determine the bracketing strategy (the books are matched up alphabetically by title) and then hand the list over to our colleagues at School Library Journal who recruit and assign the judges.”
So I think we can already figure out who’s up against who, even if it hasn’t been *officially* announced. :)
And does it say anywhere (I can’t find it) when this Battle actually begins? I’m a little perplexed that this info wouldn’t play front & center on your site…February sometime? March?

I don’t have the schedule in front of me, Kris, but I think it starts the first week of March. It definitely ends the first week of April . . .
How is it possible that I have only read ONE of these books???
Actually, I have only read one of these books in full. (WILL GRAYSON, WILL GRAYSON)I tried to read CONSPIRACY, TRASH, and KEEPER, but couldn’t get through. I’ll try again, though, so I’ll have read all of them.
